My Top 10 Purchases of 2020

The end of the year is HERE!! I think we can all agree that 2020 was A YEAR lol. It has been a year for me that has consequently resulted in quite a bit of retail therapy, so I figured I would round up my top 10 favorite purchases of 2020!

  1. Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe: I love all the purchases on this list for different reasons, but if I had to pick one…. this was BY FAR my best purchase. This machine pretty much saved my quarantine. If you want to read more about my journey with my Nespresso machine, click here.
  2. Barefoot Dreams Throw: I have this blanket in the cream color, the stone color, and the gray/white stripe colors. It is safe to say that I am OBSESSED with this blanket. I sleep with the cream one every night, and I bring it with me whenever I go out of town. This blanket (and Barefoot Dreams in general) is EXTREMELY pricey, but Nordstrom Rack marks them down to $50 quite often. When they’re in stock, though, they go FAST. That is where all of mine are from. 100% worth the price tag.
  3. Silicone Straws: This is kind of a random choice, but I LOVE these straws. I use them every day with my iced coffee, and they’ve been a total game changer!!
  4. Aerie Waffle Knit Sweater: My favorite clothing item of the year lol. I have it in 2 colors (so far). SO COMFY!!!
  5. Ring Doorbell: When I first started working from home, I got nervous every time I was alone and someone knocked on the door. So we got this doorbell, which allows me to see who is at the door before I answer it!!! We didn’t have a doorbell previously, so one thing I love about the Ring is that it can be battery operated- no hard wiring necessary! This doorbell helps give me such peace of mind.
  6. CeraVe Healing Ointment: You may be thinking, “that’s a weird pick,” and I guess it may be. However, 2020 has been a year in which I have struggled SO hard with skin issues. I have truly had the worst eczema of my life this past year. My dermatologist recommended this healing ointment for when I start to feel a flare-up and don’t want to use prescription ointment. I also use this as a lip balm!! I love this stuff!
  7. Kindle: I used to think I only liked physical books. I would rent book after book from my local library. However, when rumors of a potential stay at home order started swirling around, I got super nervous. Would the library shut down?? I knew the library also rented out E-books, so I decided to give Kindle a shot. WOW. Not sure how I lived without it. I love how the screen automatically lights up in the dark, so I don’t need a book light. And it is SO easy to travel with.
  8. Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Hot Air Brush: I saw people all over the internet raving about this, I was influenced, and I bought it from Amazon on Prime Day. IT DOESN’T DISAPPOINT. I have a lot of hair, and if I want to blow dry and straighten it, it takes a LONG time. This kills 2 birds with one stone and gets the job done in half the time. I make sure to not use it on super wet hair, though, because I don’t want to cause too much damage. However, for me it doesn’t work as well on dry hair, either. So, I make sure to use it on damp hair. I love the way it turns out!
  9. UGG Genuine Shearling Slipper: Technically, I didn’t purchase these- my brother gave them to me for my birthday. However, they are EVERYTHING. I wear them constantly, and I love how they have a true sole so I can wear them outside and on errands. They are THE BEST and, in my opinion, worth every penny. I get more wear out of these slippers than any other shoe I own.
  10. 40oz Hydro Flask with Straw Lid: I actually bought my first one of these at the end of 2018/beginning of 2019…. but I bought another one at the beginning of 2020 (to leave at work) so this still counts!!! I am a Hydro Flask STAN lol. I absolutely loveeeee their products. This giant water bottle helps me stay hydrated all the time. I really bring this thing everywhere. I lug it around my house. It comes with me on errands, on vacations- everywhere. I’ve brought this water bottle to Spain, France, Canada, Pennsylvania, Utah, etc. Anywhere I’ve been since I bought this, this water bottle has also gone. It even carried holy water from Lourdes for me!!!

Have you tried any of these products?? If so, which ones, and what did you think?!
